Our Books

How do you build character in kids?

Positive character is built through modeling behavior of adults, siblings, friends, and/or classmates. Through practice, repetition, and reinforcement, children develop healthy character traits.

Through our books, we identify five main character traits (confidence, respect, empathy, honesty, and gratefulness) and show examples of how that particular trait weaves throughout a child's day and reinforces that behavior.

Are You Confident Today?

What does a confident person look like? Smart? Happy? Talkative? Self-assured? Take a look in the mirror because a confident person is YOU! Are You Confident Today?  presents situations that will help build and reinforce confidence in all readers. Are You Confident Today? is part of the Becoming a Better You! series, which strives to   highlight character traits that help readers reach their potential and help make a   positive impact in the world.

Are You Honest Today?

What do you do if you find someone’s wallet? Return it or take the money? An honest person would do the right thing. People who are honest are truthful toward others and themselves. Telling the truth is an important virtue that should be developed in children, but applicable to all ages. This is the fourth book in the Becoming a Better You! series, which strives to highlight character traits that help readers reach their  potential and make a positive impact in the world.

Why do you need to be respectful? Patience, tolerance, consideration, and trustworthiness are qualities of respectful people. Life is happier with a respectful heart.  Are You Respectful Today? presents situations that will help build and reinforce respect in all readers.  This is the second book in the Becoming a Better You! series, which strives to highlight character traits that help readers reach their potential and help make a positive impact on the world.

Are You Grateful Today?

Why should you be grateful? Does it make life easier or better? Kids, and adults, too, sometimes have a hard time showing gratefulness. It’s easy to always want more “stuff” and believe life would be better if we had everything we wanted. Grateful people know that a peaceful heart comes from appreciating what they have and from being thankful for love, joy, and health in their lives. This is the fifth book in the Becoming a Better You! series, which strives to highlight character traits that help readers reach their potential and make a positive impact in the world.

Are You Empathetic Today?

Where does empathy come from? Is it learned or is it just a part of us? See how the characters in this book are understanding, become more aware, and are sensitive to others’ feelings. Once empathy is developed in each of us, it is a universal character trait for all ages. Empathetic people make the world a better place.
